So what is the roler of a broker/ real estate agent for a buyer.
If I choose to deal directly with the seller, what are the things I need to do myself and can you explain the "attorney" part that you mentioned.

and the seller basically prices it into the sale price... which why when buying next time .. i would ask to deal with the seller directly.. get an attorney to do the paperwork and diligence for $600 and ask the seller to keep 1% and give me a 5% discount.lil leg work and you save like 25k on 500k house.

Hi everyone,
I have a related question. I am a canadian citizen now and am still maintaining an H1b. My H1b stamp had expired in 2007 though.
I had applied for AP in january but its still pending at NSC.
Now I have to go to India for my brother's marriage.
My question to you all is-Since I am still on H1B (and If am not wrong, canadian citizens do not require H1B stamps)-- will it be ok if I travel without an AP.

Thank you; my reading of the law is also the same. However, a few of years ago (post-2001) both inside and outside counsel hired by my company came to a different conclusion. Hence, my parsing of the words.

Hey All,
I am on H1B on Indian passport and my current H1B that is stamped on passport will expire on March 18, 2010.
Recently, I got my H1b visa extension until 2012.
I'm currently working for my end client "X" from last 2 years and H1b holder is company "Y".
I am planning to go to India first two weeks of February and return on 17th Feb from EWR and returning back to EWR.
I do hav an employment verification letter obtained from my manager at end client "X".
I am planning to do my visa stamping while in Mumbai. I have 4 questions :
1) Looking at the current scenario, where most of H1B stamping at Mumbai consulates are going through administrative process;
do you recommend me to go to Mumbai for new visa stamping ?
2) If I simply return on my current visa, will the officer at POE ask me - why I did not get new H1 stamped on passport when I have 30 days for current to expire ?
Any advice ????????
3) I have confirmed tickets for me, wife and kid to arrive at Newark. Do you guys think it is wise to change the aiport to some other airport ?
4) Do you think dropping the plans going to India is more feasible than dealing through points 1-3 above.
I need your advise as soon as you can. Please share with me your viewpoints in the best possible way.
One more possibility you should consider is that though you have an H1 extension and assuming you get your visa stamped till 2012, if you re-enter US before your extension is valid, you might only get the new I-94 till your current H1 validity of Mar'2010. I have seen such instances before with the reason being the IO at POE cannot give an extension based on future validity.

If you think the price is to go up, then you can buy them at current market value of 26 and hold them. You don't have to pay 30 for it :-)
Options are only valuable if they are more than the exercisable price, if not the paper is worth nothing.
Why do you want to buy the options at that price? Can't you just buy it from the open market and that way option will exxpire and there will be that many less open shares.

Hello there,
This is great news although I have a question. My wife is a endodontist (dentist, speciality in root canal surgery), (H1, EB2 India). She teaches at a university and practises in there. She has some publications as well (she does not qualify for EB1, as we dont want to go for a tenure track) Will she qualify under this physicians bill? She has 6 years experience in this filed.

The best course is file I-140 for EB3... after you get it... file for EB2 I-140 and use PD from EB3... It's possible and worth every effort.

I found that EADs from NSC are being issued for filers until Aug13, as of now. I guess the processing time is like a week and half of the week, for every day. So you could be getting in 3 weeks.

I believe they go by RD if the PD is current. My RD is jul 2nd and my application reached them early AM on Jul 2nd.

If you work for a consulting firm requiring you to work for clients at various locations your labor application should have stated as various locations within US instead of one location. Since your labor was filed in 2002 i assume it was using old labor process (State labor than Regional thru BEC), the rules for that labor filing state that Company should file the state labor in the state where it is headquartered if employee is supposed to working at various locations. My labor was filed that way and application stated location as various within US. If you had that than it should not be an issue.
On March 12 2009 I got an query on my I-485.
Requesting discrepancy in the labor applied on Nov'7 2002 and present working place.
My company(abc ltd) applied labor on Nov'07 2002 while I was working at the clients(xyz) place in Los Angeles.
I got my I-140 approved on Feb'15 2006, while I was with the same client(xyz) at that time.
On Dec'04 2006 I moved to Detroit, started working with different client.
RFE goes like this.
The Documentation submitted with your application and/or a review of service records indicate that you no longer reside in the same state or geographical location as the underlying form i-140 immigration petitioner and /or job location specified by your intended permanent employer.
There fore submit a currently dated letter from your original form I-140 employer which which address this discrepancy.
I am still working with the same employer who filed my labor certification.
Any gurus who can suggest me on the query would be greatly appreciated.

Guys, thank you so much for your replies. Thanks for giving me the ideas on how to address the letter. My parents cannot read/write/speak English (not a single word), so I thought it would be nice for them to have a letter to show at the port of entry. They are traveling with a boy from back home who is a student in a nearby university.
One more question if you guys do not mind, my parents asked for visa to attend my graduation in Dec 07, but they could not come at that time. There were two reasons, 1. did not find somebody to travel with right away and 2. after a month or so, my grandma got sick and was in hospital for a long time. She passed away a month ago. Do you think my parents will have trouble at the port of entry as they did not come for graduation and coming after so many months? Thanks.

First idea: put the lens to manual focus, and try that on a tripod. Perhaps the focus point got moved, and the camera is attempting to focus on black sky? This test would attempt to eliminate that.
On the other hand, with the changing size of the moon, the camera could be overexposing more than it did in your first example (if that turns out to be the case, I'll explain why, so you can avoid it in the future). :)

EAD and AP are benefits due to AOS pending. They are not status by itself. Thus it is optional while filing 485. Once you file 485, you are automatically in legal status to stay in US. H4 status enables you to reentry to US. Similarly, if you loose H4 for some reason ( like in Ur case), AP will allow your spouse to reenter USA.
Please consult an attorney.

I think its a wise move on IV's part to keep all lobbying and campaigning efforts private. That way the NumbsersUSA and other anti's can not sniff what IVians are upto. Keep up the good work. Someone at the top (God!!) is watching your hard work and you will be rewarded soon.

Your case is a lil different than mine cause you did your I140 first, got online receipt that was sent with your 485. I am assuming one week later, when you had your PERM hard copy, you sent that along with other docs for your I140. I think you will be fine. You did everything right for the I140 and 485 is dependent on 140.
Me though...my lawyer sent both 140/485 together in the mail, nothing done online. and no perm hard copy was included..just the online approval ETA form, signed by me/employer, along with screen shot af DOLETA approval.
I will definitely keep you updated. I think mine will take longer than most cause on top of everything my file was sent to nebraska instead of texas....so it had/needs to be transfered to texas (NY employer).
Keep updating and if you hear about others (i'm trying to stay in touch with others in similar position), let me know...

IV is not giving any updates on the public forums at this time and risk our ongoing efforts. Do not quote some annonymous members on other forums or this forum to elicit a response from IV. Do not continue to start new threads asking for updates and asking core members for answers. You, an IV member is our answer and you yourself can also provide answer to all of us by helping us. It is our combined effort that will lead to a solution for all of us. IV core is working hard to make something happen but you all are our legs and support us. We would like to encourage members to actively participate in state chapters, and they can get to know our action plans by participating in them. We also want members to actively participate in funding drive and we will be communicating with such contributing members. This would encourage members to help IV to help everyone and themselves with their efforts. Till now merely 154 members have commited funds in the past 1 week. We can get thousands of opinions on forums on a given subject, but it is really hard to have a meagre $20 contribution from members. Without contributions we will be limited in our efforts. It is very critical for our success and to achive our common goal. IV will not survive without being able to fund our efforts and members can continue to debate on various provisons on forums without much hope for any relief. Hope you will appreciate this POV, understand the gravity of this issue and help all of us in the IV community wth the ongoing monthly contributions drive.
