Please don't dilute the admin fix effort by starting another letter campaign.
IV just finished a letter campaign in which one of the items were 3 yr EAD/AP. Why do we need another letter campaign? There is still lot of work going on related to the Admin fixes, please do work with your state chapters to setup meetings with lawmakers to seek their support for the Admin fix effort.

IV core team itself is not active these day.
Some people started a group, created a web site, featured on several news shows and have been flying miles to meet with powers that be. Some other people just joined the group by logging in from their website and all they can do is say that the first group as been inactive. Thats funny.

If I'm not wrong AILF is the litigation arm of AILA, meaning AILF is a subsidiary of AILA. Not an independent org.

My friend and I, filed our respective H1B extension in June 2007. We were both expecting only a 1-year extension since our I-140s have been pending at Nebraska SC since December 2006. He received his H1B extension approval (3 years) in October and I received mine first week of December. Despite both I-140s pending, we both got 3-year extension! We are both very happy because the ;)approval saved us a lot of money. Both of us filed I-485 in July.

Hello,
My wife is planning to convert from H4 to H1 for dentist.
1) Does she need a dental license to apply for H1 ?
She 'qualifies' for a dental license (ie meets all requirements), but almost all states require a SSN to issue a dental license. Since she is on H4, she doesnt have a SSN. Problem: Dental License needs SSN - SSN needs H1 - H1 needs license - basically a "Catch 22" position here
2) I did some googling and found that UCSIS issues H1 for 1 year for nurses who do not have license(because of no SSN). Would this apply to dentists as well ?? link (http://www.murthy.com/nurse_faq.html#2)

I've done alot of debugging to try figure the problem... (.show()) isn't a method inside the openFileDialog class...?
-The main thing i'm found when debugging is that when the openFileDialog is used to do anything in my program even if i don't use any information from it it doesnt write my TEST data to a xml file or any other methods i use to write an xml file... eg.
When i run these lines in conjunction to the rest of my code

String fileNameToAdd = "E:\\blah";
//String fileNameToAdd = DialogAddTo.FileName;
Commenting out the openFileDialog and just storing a random file name then the rest of my program (eg. writing the xml file and info wanted) works however when i get the file name from the openFileDialog it doesn't let me write any Xml files even ones i have working already.
If anyone has had the same error or has knowledge please reply cheers

Can some one help me out what i have to do in my specific case.
I applied for AINP on Feb-2009.That time my martial status is single.I got married on April-2009.I got my file number last week.If i want to include my spouse on my AINP process what i have to do?Did anyone faced this kind of situation?

I called on the number on the form and they said once I get the file number, I need to again fill out the forms which need dependent information and send them over with additional documentation. You may just want to call them and re verify. I found the CSR very helpful and polite.

DATV nationals transiting to Ireland must obtain a visit visa - not a Visitor in Transit visa which is only for transit to a destination outside the Common Travel Area (Rules HC395 paragraph 47 refers).
All visa nationals wishing to transit the UK but spend longer doing so than the 24 hours permitted under the TWOV concession must obtain a visitor in transit visa for stays up to 48 hours or a visit visa.
Nationals of certain countries, which includes India - unless exempt as detailed above - must have a DAT visa to transit through the United Kingdom. The visa does not allow entry to the UK: other than to catch a connecting flight; leaving from the same airport on the same day; where you do not need to pass through immigration control to catch the flight. CALLED USCIS .they said they cant transfer to level 2 operator to check receipt number...Is there any other way to find out?...will the bank be able to read and tell?

$1000 is a lot for Premium Processing and VSC is profiting a lot from this. They are running a business for sure....
Its only extensions which are a long time.
USCIS is self-funded from application fees. They don't get any other funding as far as I know. So, sure they are running a business.
I know its not cheap, but atleast there is a way. I have been in this long enough to know times when it took a long time without an option of premium processing.
You can always make your employer pay for the fees.
